Thought is might be fun to also engage your brain a little bit by posting a couple of course maps for you to do some mental practice.
Where would you be standing when you start your dog?
Which side of the A-frame would you be on when your dog entered the obstacle?
Would you cross in front after obstacle 4 or 5?
This map is a starters course for Standard. How would you run this course?
What would you do between obstacle 9 and 10?
Hope you had fun with this. Be sure and let us know if you want additional course maps posted for some mental practice.
Awesome course maps! Its definitely a good starter to the morning to get my brain functioning! ;) Though it also makes me not want to focus on anything else and go play on an agility field now! Speaking of which the classes are held on mondays but does the BATC allow us to come practice in that same room any day in the week? I LOVE the class (lol even if its only been the first class ;p) but I would love to practice outside of just mondays. Since its been so crazy cold, foggy and icey the BATC seems perfect! I have most of my own equipment so I wouldn't need to use any of yours. But would that be ok? Thanks again! I love the blogs! :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed them, thinking of posting more :-)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are enjoying the class, unfortunately we only rent one night a week and we are thinking of moving to a horse arena (going to look at it tonight) because the floor is so slick that we worry about really being able to work the dogs the way we need to.
We will notify everyone at class next week at class about the proposed change. If we do make this move, we will be renting the facility on an hourly basis so we are hoping that we can add additional classes and some practice time (we could all use some of that). Stay tuned for more information.
